Civil War History and General Commentary on Issues of Import, or Not.

This blog is…

… where culture and history come crashing together sometimes in a lovely harmony all nice and neat like a Bach Fugue and other times all kinds of messy and loud. What does one do when one loves poetry, history, politics, culture, books, film, and humanity. Blog? Yep.

I’ve been a student of the Civil War since I was 8 years old. Now, it’s time to spread some of that good Union and Confederate stuff. I love Johann Sebastian Bach, too. When I write about history, I want to do the folks from the past justice, and be as entertaining and as accurate as possible. The Civil War is the core moment of American history - if folks tell you otherwise, don’t listen. Also, if you ask somebody who claims to like “classical music” who their top three composers are and they don’t mention JS Bach, well, just chuckle and let ‘em know that they’ve got some listening to do.

If you don’t, well, ok.

Please enjoy the blog.
